21 ‘Cheetham & Rolt
Automobiles’ garage, craftsman made by master builder Brian Coldicott.
230 x 153 on base 355 x 253 with hundreds of expensive extra detail parts.
Many long hours of work spent in the weathering and finishing, originally
for his own layout. It was made some time ago when Brian was keen on HOn3
so now needs some dusting, minor repair to facia and repositioning of some
of the details. There was never a roof for it – not needed. |

22 Small
locomotive shed for HOn3 locomotives or Galloping Geese, superbly made
for himself by master builder Brian Coldicott in the days when he was keen
on the scale. It is angled for use either off a turntable or switch point.
Brian used more superdetailing components on this job than any other. The
interior has a full system of roof support beams and a lighting system. The
interior walls and floor are detailed with a profusion of items that are
very typical of a Rio Grande D&RGW or Rio Grande Southern RGS shed. 190mm
deep x 185 wide at the rear tapering to 140mm wide at the front ( approx 7.7
x 7.3 x 5.5") on a baseboard with curved sides for ease of disguise during
scenicing. The scenic details are mostly whitemetal and are enough to
provide clutter over a wider area. Main doorways 59 high and the roof 69mm
high off top of baseboard. Weight 1,700g packed. |

50
Bowser 18" turntable, assembled and mounted in a square baseboard.
This is their well-modelled 130ft one needed for any roundhouse holding
large American articulated Mallet locomotives such as the Big Boys and
Challengers. It was
bought, built and installed in an unfinished layout many years ago but a
change of address meant that it was not used. It comes with the electric
motor drive which was an expensive extra but never installed. The girders
are diecast and look superb. The timber superstructure was very well built
complete with the central gallows. Some of the timbers, including the
centre gallows, have become detached in
transit over the years. Since the item will have to be posted, it would not
be a good idea to do the small amount of re-gluing prior to despatch to make
packaging and safe transit easier. Wt boxed 5,780 packed
6,250g) £75.00
